The MSC NASTRAN V2010 Student Edition uses the MD Nastran Basic Studio (MDBAS) for all its modeling and postprocessing capabilities. Its primary purpose is to serve as a platform for teaching finite element analysis in an interactive environment.
Nastran, MD, MSC Patran. The idea is that you create your model, do your analysis, and run postprocessing in one package.
